Kayaking In MacArthur State Beach Park

Located on Singer Island MacArthur is Palm Beach County’s premier state park. First established in 1989, this slice of South Florida’s natural coastline has been under preservation since. It consists of 438 acres with four different types of habitats, including strips of vegetation with tropical trees and plant species, a large estuary, beach dunes, and a Limestone Rock Reef.

Stand up paddle boarding or kayaking are some of the best ways to experience the state park, giving access and close-up views to all the different natural habitats, especially the estuary. Paddle Boarding Palm Beach is the official paddle board tour company of the park, offering rentals and guided SUP tours.

With around 7 different plant species and 22 animal species that are either threatened or endangered, taking a stand-up paddle board (SUP) tour is not only a great outdoor experience, but an educational one as well. It’s easy to bring along the whole family for a day packed with adventure and fun, spotting wildlife and naming beautiful flora and fauna while getting in a bit of exercise all the while.

Along with paddle boarding and kayaking, snorkeling is another way to explore the reef from under the crystal clear water and see the wide variety of marine life. Hanging on the reefs are usually beautiful, brightly-coloured parrot fish, sometimes loggerhead sea turtles, and even dolphins could be swimming around. You can carry your mask and snorkel on the paddle board or in your kayak for a dip in the water after your eco-tour.
